The meeting focused on two main topics:
- an introduction to ConfigHub
- planning for an upcoming November hackathon
Alexis Richardson from ConfigHub presented their new configuration management product, explaining how it addresses challenges with managing large YAML files and Helm charts by storing configurations in a database rather than file systems. The presentation demonstrated how ConfigHub provides visibility into configuration changes, allows for policy enforcement, and works with existing GitOps tools through OCI gateways.
The team discussed the hackathon format, confirming it will be organized in Bern before CNCF in November, with Julie leading logistics and organization while participants focus on coding activities. Multiple project proposals were discussed including Ericsson's MPN operator, configuration validation tools, and supply chain pipeline improvements, with the goal to select five projects for development during the summer leading up to the event.
